HILT Material Supplies is a fast-growing supplier of timber and building materials, specialising in insulation, dry-lining systems, plasterboard, fixings, sealants, and related products. Founded in 2024 and based in West Horndon, Essex, the company has quickly established itself as a trusted supplier in the UK construction sector.

To support its rapid expansion, HILT Material Supplies sought financial assistance to invest in new assets and enhance its distribution capabilities. Having initially acquired five second-hand trucks, the company aimed to modernise its fleet with new vehicles to improve efficiency and reliability.

Through a referral from Barclays Business Banking, Propel supported HILT Material Supplies’ fleet expansion, beginning with funding towards a brand new DAF truck valued at £148,000. Following this successful collaboration, all subsequent truck purchases -including an additional one for their new Bedford branch, four more currently on order, and a further seven to nine planned over the next 12 to 18 months - are also being financed through Propel.
