Case Study - University Campus of Football Business (UCFB)

Launched in 2011, the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) has grown into a leading higher education institution focused on the business of football and sport. With over 2,500 students studying at campuses in Manchester, London, and Miami, UCFB delivers a unique and immersive educational experience, offering university degrees that are deeply embedded in the sports industry.

Referred to Propel by Barclays Business Banking, UCFB has received over £1 million in funding from Propel over the past five years to support its estate development programme. This financing has enabled the acquisition of a wide range of essential assets including air conditioning units, AV systems, IT infrastructure, doors, furniture, recording studio & catering equipment, and advanced security networks.

Propel’s tailored asset finance solutions have played a key role in helping UCFB deliver high-quality campus enhancements at their UK based premised, directly impacting the student experience. The improved facilities have not only elevated day-to-day life for students but also contributed to higher levels of satisfaction and engagement across UCFB’s growing community.

“Having some certainty around funding is essential. Propel got to understand us very quickly and they’ve been very easy to work with. The process of a discussion about what we’re trying to achieve through to a decision has been seamless. To have a partner like Propel that can give certainly in a really seamless process is invaluable.”
